Hyatt Fitzsimons Hotel and Convention Center - Turner Construction

This 90 million dollar development project broke ground in September and is scheduled to be completed in late 2015. This 30,000 sq foot conference center will be Aurora's first, housing a restaurant, multiple conference rooms, ballrooms and kitchen, along with 249 hotel rooms.

LEI Companies worked with Corporex Colorado to create this fully design-build project. My role, after the initial design, was to implement a working installation design model and coordinate our installation with all MEP trades. Along with model design, my role was to create working deck install drawings, complete and comprehensive home run piping schedules and circuiting, all total station layout for underground, floors 1st-1oth and all 1st floor lighting along with all pre-fabrication methods needed to create a successful install and schedule.

The second phase of my role was to design and implement all prefab for the hotel unit rough stage, lighting throughout conference room & meeting rooms, logistics for on time delivery, roof top installation design, delivery of all needed material "kitted" for roof install and the trim "kits" for all 9 floors of hotel rooms. Throughout the project I was fortunate enough to work with great foremen to coordinate all prefab and deliveries.

The 2nd floor hotel deck required extensive piping for the entire hotel room fan coil system. working with Turner Construction, LEI constructed a planned out piping schedule in order to keep schedule.
